-Travelled in Maine
-Against Industrial Revolution
-Visited Sudbury/ Nobscot connection
-Philosopher
-Led simple life, few possessions
-Read deeply into classics
-Lived alone
-Visited Harvard, Ma.--"Fruitlands"
-Self-sufficient
-Was busted
